Defect Report

A defect report, also known as a bug report, is a document that captures issues or inconsistencies identified during software testing. It highlights deviations from expected behavior, enabling developers to understand, reproduce, and resolve problems efficiently.

The defect report includes essential details such as Bug ID, Summary, Environment, Browser, Platform & Version, Priority and Severity, Steps to Reproduce, Expected Results, Actual Results, Attachments, Tester’s Name, Date of Report, and Status.

In addition to reporting bugs, the document also includes suggested improvements for various components of the website. These recommendations aim to enhance usability, accessibility, and overall user experience. By addressing both functional defects and UX enhancements, the report provides a well-rounded view of the application's current state and opportunities for refinement.
